The Apple Learning Interchange community launched numerous updates to the site including new features for user profiles, submissions, favorites, site navigation and significant updates to the custom groups tool. Additionally, ALI now supports international character support allowing users to author content or participate in forums in languages other than English.

Educators May Now Create Easy-To-Manage Custom Groups
posted on Jun 03, 2008 @ 9amOne of the major new features added today to the Apple Learning Interchange is the ability to create Public or Private groups online.
Any ALI member may now visit the "Groups" area to view existing public groups and choose to join, or may select to build their own custom group from scratch.
Groups now allow members to form simple collaborative working groups around a school project in a public group, or to work privately in a shared environment for teacher planning, research and more.
Each new group has easy-to-manage tools to create a group Home Page with news, member directories, threaded conversations, collections of custom content, member polls, and more.
Get started today by forming a group online here on the Apple Learning Interchange. Your summer planning has never been more fun, and now it can be highly collaborative too!
