It was recently ranked 3rd worst place to live in the UK! Yet this area is set to radically change with 3 major projects: 1. The 2012 Olympic games 2. The building of Stratford International railway station (Eurostar) and 3. The building of Stratford City including Europe's largest shopping mall. Add to this the imminent arrival of Europe's largest aquarium, London Zoo's Biota project) and the development of the Royal Docks and suddenly Newham looks less of a 'write off'. Over the past 5 years I have toured the borough's primary schools with a bag of Apple notebooks loaded up with video and still images. Students identified as Gifted & Talented work on creating Digital Stories based upon their experiences of living in the UK's 3rd worst place. This submission aims to show how Apple products are used innovatively to allow children to comment on how they view their neighbourhood.
