Apple accepts applications to the ADE program in odd numbered years (USA). Please look for an application process again in January, 2009

ADE Class of 2007 Focus Areas
Ideal candidates will bring experience and insight from at least one of the following focus areas:
- Project-Based Learning / 1 to 1 Learning Environments
- Creative & Professional / Career Tech
- Colleges of Education
Are you currently involved with successful learning environments rich with technology? Are you a leader in your school's efforts to empower students through 1 to 1 learning initiatives? Have you been successful with professional development programs that empower teachers to thrive in model 21st century learning environments? Are learning tools such as iMovie, iPhoto, iPod and iChat seamlessly integrated into your classroom practice?
Are you involved with programs that offer "real world" opportunities for students to learn about Film & Video, Photography, Music & Audio and Design? Does your high school, community college or university have programs that prepare students as the next generation of creative professionals? Are software applications such as Final Cut Studio, Aperture and Logic a part of your classroom practice?
Are you offering innovative programs for new teachers to transform classrooms through technology? Are your teacher education candidates partnered with model programs in nearby districts that show promise of achievement? Are you involved in academic research on the effectiveness of today's technologies on learning?

Member Profile - Class of 2007 (USA)
- Full-time classroom teacher or instructional leaders (Pre-K through 12 Teachers, Community College and/or Higher Education Faculty)
- Advanced users of core Apple Technologies (Mac OS X Tiger, iLife, iWork, QuickTime)
- A "digital educator." Someone who fully functions in this digital world of communication with web, email, chat, podcasting, video, audio, etc., and is actively integrating this into their teaching and lifestyle.
- A champion for the innovative uses of technology for thinking and learning in his or her academic environment.
- A leader in implementations of effective professional development.
- For Creative & Pro Candidates: Competent user of one or more Apple professional applications (Final Cut Studio, Aperture, Logic)
- Available and committed to engaging with Apple on project-based teams and willing to travel and attend Apple or Educational Conference related events and activities.
(Selected ADEs must show support from your institution's leadership for participation in this professional group.) - Committed to participate in ADE Orientation and Institute 2007.
(Selected ADEs are responsible for travel to and from the Institute. Apple provides lodging, meals, and ground transportation during the event. If you are unable to attend the Institute, you must re-apply for membership in future years.)
